This is a Christmas hymn I'm sure almost everyone has heard and knows by heart - at least the first verse. The other three may be tricky but you've probably heard them, too. I can't sing this song without crying tears of joy. The words just draw me to the feet of Jesus and I worship Him with utter abandon and complete adoration. I love that God loves us enough to do what He has done and continues to do and I am dwarfed by it, overwhelmed by it and in total awe of it.
O Come, All Ye Faithful... (John Francis Wade 1711-86)
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels;
O Come, let us adore Him; O Come, let us adore Him
O Come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
True God of True God, Light from Light eternal,
For lo, He shuns not the virgin's womb;
Only begotten Son of the Father;
O Come, let us adore Him; O Come, let us adore Him
O Come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation!
O sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above;
"Glory to God, all glory in the highest";
O Come, let us adore Him; O Come, let us adore Him
O Come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Yea, Lord we greet thee, born this happy morning,
O Jesus, to thee be all glory giv'n;
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing:
O Come, let us adore Him; O Come, let us adore Him
O Come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
How I pray you come together and adore Him this season. May you be blessed beyond all imagination!
