Stop someone from entering into a relationship (business type relationship) with someone else when that second someone is potentially incredibly damaging to the first someone's long term goals...

I don't have any good answer to that one. Could you possibly have something for your 'friend' to read that would prove something is wrong with the problem party? Just be careful you don't get hurt.
